the rooms could use an update....the wallpaper in our bathroom was peeling from the wall, more lights as it was very dark. The staff was wonderful and the location convenient to downtown and the river.

Hotel bar and restaurant closed both nights we stayed, when we asked why, they did not know. AC was broken in room. Mini bar area had nothing-not even water. We went downstairs to get some water in lobby and all they sold was beer. Asked forint desk, they had no water. She gave us 2 styrofoam coffee cups and pointed us to the water jug. When booking online, this hotel looks so much nicer. It needs serious updating. Don’t be fooled by pictures online.

The decor was beautiful. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The location was within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The bed was comfortable. Only one outlet in our room worked (none in the bathroom) but that didn’t cause any issues for us! We will be back on our next trip to Savannah!

Cons:We were told we had to evacuate half an hour before check out. They had known they were closing for two days. Absolutely unacceptable.

Pros:The hotel was lovely and the staff were all super friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. The location couldn't be better for exploring historic Savannah. The pool was small but clean, and I loved that it was saltwater not chlorine. The valet parking is pricey at $28, but there is a garage across the street that only cost $12 and the staff was quick to suggest it when I balked at the cost of the valet.

Cons:Desk staff rude. Renovation took over the complete hotel - our hallway on 5th floor, temporary lobby nasty, Madison room terrible. Such a hotel should not be charging for a breakfast pastry esp under these conditions. Cleaning staff did not address our room at all. Bed too soft. Live and learn - the hard way
