Istanbul to Miami is a very long flight, somewhat uncomfortable, especially because the seating offers very limited space outside of business class.

Very old plane on the Istanbul to Bangkok flight, had an emergency exit isle row, no where to put anything, on a plus point loads of leg room. Food was the best I have had in 39 years of flying.

Old aircraft, very very low business class standards, no privacy between the seats, horrible old TVs, tiny bathrooms.

Absolutely horrible experience. It's an overnight flight for over 5 hours and business class does not have beds!!!!! I had a slightly bigger than economy class seat that was broken and not even reclining correctly. I should get a refund for this flight as they changed the aircraft to a small one and that is not what I paid the business class price for!

Very good except the boarding process too forever and wasn’t organized by group. I had a heavy pack or I wouldn’t have minded. I was in business. There were no audible announcements in the waiting area about boarding and everyone packed into the boarding area. Then boarding stopped for a long time but the staff made no announcements to update waiting passengers about the holdup. The flight was good after we got on.

Overview of Turkish Airlines

Operating as Turkey’s national flag carrier, Turkish Airlines has a large presence in world aviation and flies to more than 100 countries. Particularly focusing on transporting passengers to Europe, Asia and Africa, international flights make up a large section of the company’s scheduled services.

The airline’s primary headquarters are in Istanbul, where they operate a maintenance facility responsible for the upkeep of their fleet. Turkish Airlines also has a hub in the capital city of Ankara. Using a combination of Boeing and Airbus planes, the most common models are the Boeing 737 and Airbus A321. A distinctive red tail is featured on all aircrafts of the fleet.

Joining as a member of the Star Alliance in 2008, hub-sharing and route combinations allow customers to reach all across the world. Passengers can also benefit from access to shared airport lounges and quicker travel times. They have codeshare agreements with popular carriers such as United Airlines, Etihad Airways, Air China, Air Canada and JetBlue.

The cabins are split between Economy and Business Class. Turkish Airlines have been voted the World’s Best Premium Economy Airline with features such as adjusted toy seats for children and an amenity kit including earplugs, lip balm, socks and a sleep mask. In the Business section, passengers will find in-chair massage functions, a reading lamp and porcelain tableware. Upgraded customers are also treated to Turkish cuisine on all flights, while the Economy section has a more standardized international meal. There is also a dedicated Business Lounge with entertainment facilities such as gaming consoles, a children’s play area and a piano.
