Tagaytay is a wonderful place for couples to get a romantic break together at any time of year; the landscape is beautiful and there are loads of couple-focused activities. If you’d like that extra bit of privacy an apartment provides, then try The Serviced Residences at Kasa Luntian. These luxurious apartments are close to all local amenities as well as having pools, fitness suites and terraces to lounge on; they are also adults only. Or if you want the full hotel experience, then try Hotel Monticello; near the bars and restaurants of the town centre, you’ll also have access to indoor and outdoor pools, a spa and wellness centre and a fitness centre.
Families coming to Tagaytay will find lots of options to suit them, including hotels with pools and play areas as well as all the activities the park and the volcano island offers. One good option worth checking out is Aviatrix at Cityland, with its own pool, terrace, bars and restaurants on site plus ready access to snorkelling, horse riding, golf, cycling and archery. Families will also enjoy Taal Vista Hotel with its family rooms, indoor and outdoor pool, fitness centre, games room and evening entertainment.
Casa Alegria Bed And Breakfast is probably one of the closest to Taal Volcano Island. With lake and volcano views, it is just 6.5 km from the lake and island. It’s also only 4.5 km from the People’s Park in the Sky and near the picnic area. Another great location near the volcano is the more basic but very well reviewed Little Falls Inn, which is on the main road to the lake and all the tourist areas in the park.
Tagaytay is around 68 km south of Manila, home of the airport at which you’ll most likely arrive. Quite a few hotels offer a shuttle service, but not all of them are free or included in the price. One Tagaytay Place offers good suites and rooms near Picnic Grove and offers a free shuttle service. The more upmarket Lake Hotel Tagaytay is a slice of luxury with great views over their infinity pool to the lake, and it offers a shuttle service to Manila but with a surcharge.
