The airport is also known as Pristina International Airport Adem Jashari and it is the only port of entry for air travellers arriving into Kosovo. Kosovo is a mountainous region and while the main roads are quite good the rural roads tend to be poor quality. It’s advised to upgrade your hire car to a larger vehicle rather than the standard city car that you might normally choose. Public transport is available but it will be a lot slower and less reliable than driving yourself by car.
- There are plenty of petrol stations on each of the approach roads to Pristina Airport, so you shouldn’t have any difficulty refuelling before you return your car. However, there are no petrol stations at the airport itself.
