The Alpenblick hotel is a typical, quiet and small Swiss Chalet hotel in Mürren, offering superb views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains. It is situated a 2-minute walk from the BLM railway station and is thus a great base for exciting excursions, for example to the Jungfraujoch, which is a UNESCO World Heritage area. The Sports Centre and the centre of Mürren are only a 8-minute walk away. Enjoy fine local cuisine à la carte, including the speciality of the Alpenblick hotel, Güggeli im Chörbli (half of a crispy fried Swiss chicken served in a basket with a spicy home-made barbecue sauce). Breakfast including Swiss specialties is served in the morning. Some rooms feature a balcony, while all come with a private bathroom with shower or bath and hairdryer, flat-screen cable TV and a safety deposit box. Pros:The hotel is in a great location for all sorts of hiking and climbing in the mountains around Mürren and on the Schilthorn. The view is just wonderful. The breakfast each morning was tasty and filling. We had to leave early on the last day. Jeanette made it easy and even packed us a lunch bag. That was very kind and thoughtful.
Pros:Loved how close it was to the train station. There is a wonderful walking/hiking trail was right next to the hotel. You can go as long or as short as you desire. The views are incredible. The breakfast was better than anywhere else in Europe. My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon and they decorated our room for us - nice touch! The owner is also a chef and the dinners here are amazing! The Carrot Soup is delicious!
Cons:Wifi was spotty in the rooms, but worked great in commons area. They are upgrading the wifi soon it sounds like.
