Controlling operations from a hub in La Paz, Amaszonas is one of only five commercial Bolivian airlines. Short-distance domestic routes are available to 10 locations across Bolivia, providing a vital network for both tourists and locals. International services are also available throughout South America. Among the countries linked are Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, and Peru.
Connected subsidiaries Amaszonas Paraguay and Amaszonas Uruguay assist in delivering flights. Interline partnerships are held with Air Europa, GOL Airlines, and Hahn Air. These affiliations increase the number of connections available to customers traveling internationally. A wider range of departure times is also offered.
A combination of Bombardier and de Havilland aircraft are flown by Amaszonas. Models, such as the Bombardier CRJ200, have turbofan engines, while the de Havilland aircraft are powered by turboprop engines. The planes have varying capacities, with most holding roughly 50 passengers. Due to the relatively small occupancy levels, boarding and disembarking processes at the airport are quick. You can sit back and relax in peace as the CRJ200 series are considered to be some of the quietest airliners in the world.
Economy is the only cabin class available, with leather padded seats that provide maximal comfort. You are guaranteed to have either aisle access or a window seat, as the 4-seat rows are split by a central walkway. There is 31 in of space between seats, meaning there’s plenty of room to extend your legs. The weight of hand luggage is capped at 5 kg (approximately 11 lb), with an additional 20 kg (approximately 44 lb) of checked baggage also complementary with each ticket.
